The Best of the Cape day tour is a combination of a half day peninsula tour and a half day wine tour. Starting at around 8.30 am the tour proceeds along the Atlantic coastline through Sea Point, Bantry Bay, Clifton and Camps Bay. After a short photo stop at Maidens Cove our drive continues along the the slopes of the impressive Twelve Apostle mountain range.

Passing Llandudno we drive through the village of Hout Bay along Chapmans Peak Drive where we stop and look down onto the spectacular bay discovered by John Chapman. Completing our short photo stop we continue up the slopes of Chapman's Peak and enter the most scenic part of the Cape Peninsula, the mountain pass known as “Chapman's Peak Drive”. After making our way slowly through the pass we enter Noordhoek at the southern end where we look down onto the awesome beauty of Long Beach.

From here we drive inland through the Fish Hoek/Noordhoek valley till we arrive back at the coast near the small villages of Misty Cliffs and Scarborough in the southern Peninsula. After a short drive through the fynbos and farmlands of the southern Peninsula we reach the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve.

Entering the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve we head for Cape Point where we stay just long enough for visitors to climb to the top of the second most southerly point on the African continent.

From the point we turn northwards following the False Bay coastline to Simonstown where an optional visit to the Boulders Penguin colony is available. After a short visit to the penguins we continue through the old British Naval village of Simonstown through the villages Fish Hoek, Clovelly, Kalk Bay and Muizenberg before turning eastwards to Stellenbosch the second oldest town in South Africa.

After a short tour and a quick walkabout through the village we make our way to a wine estate for a cellar tour and a wine tasting.Leaving the Stellenbosch wine estate we make our back to your Cape Town hotels at the end of a spectacular day of touring.
