Cape Town is known the world over for its big game fishing off Cape Point. It's here where the warm Agulhas current which flows down our southern coastline meets the cold Benguela current flowing up the west coast of Africa. Where these two currents meet there is an upwelling which forces plankton and other microsopic sea creatures to the surface where they are preyed upon by millions of bait fish. It's these small fish which attract pelagic and game fish to our shores.

On our full day deep sea fishing charters which are available all year round species such as Yellowfin tuna, Longfin tuna, Yellow Tail, Cape Salmon, Swordfish, Marlin, Dorado and Snoek can be caught in their seasons.

Our half day coastline fishing charters allow you to catch crayfish and coastal fish including yellow tail.

A half day scenic cruise to Cape Point gives you the opportunity of seeing some of the coastal birds that live in the area and can include whale spotting, great white shark sightings, cape fur seals , dusky dolphins and of course the spectacular coastline of the most south western point of Africa, the Cape of Good Hope with its two lighthouses.

Our cruise boat “The Destiny” is a modern luxury 8m Leecat Expressor fitted with the latest state of the art electronics ncluding a GPS plotter, radar and sonar and is licenced to carry 8 people in comfort. An onboard toilet is also available for guests.

The skipper and owner Alan holds a professional skippers ticket for boats up to 10meters and distances of 40 sea miles. Not only is Alan the skipper but also a master fisherman and a registered tourist guide.

The Destiny is fully licesnsed and the operator has all the necessary insurance and tickets required to operate a charter boat.

Full day, deep sea: R7500 (daily rate for the boat, not p/person)
Full day, Cape Point: R5800
Half day, Cape Point: R4500
Crayfishing charters, Scenic cruises to Cape Point, Seal Island (approx 3 hours): R 3200

Transfers
Cape Boat Charters will also collect you from and return you to your hotel in the Cape Peninsula.
