All articles appearing in Turtle Essays ezines and webpages have been written by me, Geoff Fairman and express my views on the sights and sounds around Cape Town.

All articles and webpages are suitable for children and have been written in such a manner as to provide a short historical background and then to bring it up to date to show how the history of the place influences its current status.

Where I have erred with historical facts I would be only too pleased to receive your emails to assist me in correcting the errors.

The articles are meant to wet your appetites to travel to Cape Town and hopefully you will use me either as your tour guide or avail of the tours that I offer.

Turtle SA Tours.

Turtle SA will arrange your tours with registered tour operators in Cape Town. All tours highlighted on this website are scheduled tours offered by the operators. Private tours are also available should you wish to avail of them. Just let me know what you need and I will enquire on your behalf.

Luxury airconditioned vehicles used on these tours are properly registered and licensed in terms of laid down requirements.

Tours are kept small with a registered tour guide guiding and driving up to 13 passengers at a time. Larger vehicles are used but in these instances both a driver and a guide will be appointed for those particular tours.

Booking procedures:

Prices are subject to change without prior notice so will be advised to you on request.

Day tours in and around Cape Town must be booked at least one day in advance and payment will be collected from you by your tourist guide on the coach.. Please ensure that you either have enough cash on you to cover the cost of the tour or have your credit card with you. All payments to be made in S A Rand .

Garden Route tours have to be paid in full on booking the tour and payment instructions will be issued to you when you confirm your booking.

Full names of all tourists
Arrival date in Cape Town.
Where you will be staying in Cape Town.
Contact phone and email addresses.
Tour and date required

Please ensure that you are covered by travel insurance as the tour operators cannot be held responsible for accidents that might occur.

Turtle SA will however entertain claims for refunds of deposits made in respect of tours booked through us only if we have collected the funds on behalf of the tour operator. All other claims to be made directly to the operator supplying the product/tour.

Any expenses incurred on behalf of the client in the booking procedure will be deducted before a refund is made.

All refunds will be calculated in Rand less bank charges.
