A half day tour of the Cape Peninsula is a quicker option than a day tour for those who don't have a lot of time.Starting at around 8.30 am in the morning or at 13.30 in the afternoon the tour proceeds along the Atlantic coastline through Sea Point, Bantry Bay, Clifton and Camps Bay. Passing Llandudno we drive through the village of Hout Bay onto Chapmans Peak Drive where we stop and look down over the spectacular Hout Bay where whales cavort between July and November.

Following the winding road along the slopes of Chapman's Peak we proceed through the most scenic part of the Cape Peninsula,“Chapman's Peak Drive” with its sheer cliffs above us and the steep drops into the sea below us. (closed for maintenance at the moment) Entering Noordhoek at the southern end of the pass we look down onto the awesome beauty of Long Beach.

We continue southwards through the Fish Hoek/Noordhoek valley and head for the coast near the small villages of Misty Cliffs and Scarborough in the southern Peninsula. From here its just a short drive through the fynbos and farmlands of the southern Peninsula to reach the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve.

Once inside the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve we make for Cape Point where we stay just long enough for visitors to climb to the top of the second most southerly point on the African continent.

The tour now begins its return journey through the nature reserve and then along the False Bay coastline to Simonstown where an optional visit to the Boulders Penguin colony is available. After our short stop at the penguins we make our way through the old British Naval village of Simonstown along the coastline through Fish Hoek, Clovelly, Kalk Bay and along Boyes Drive looking down on the spectacular views of Muizenberg.

From here we return to Cape Town where you are dropped off at your hotels.

The tour price includes the following:

Entrance fees to the :

Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve
and road tolls and parking fees

Not included in the tour price quoted

Visit to the Penguin colony at the Boulders
and any other extra activities that might happen on the day
